CHASE MACRI
creative & technical
project manager
I BRING PASSION TO PROCESS.
i deliver complex PROJECTS, high pressure events and touchy clients with a Smile.
Hi, I’m Chase Macri—an artist and a helper who loves spreadsheets.
I’m a creative/technical project manager, account manager, and event producer with over 12 years of experience, primarily in live event planning and production.
I didn’t choose the events life—it chose me. My first love was music, and I spent a decade as a performer before finding my way into corporate audiovisual project management. My artistic impulse, natural curiosity, and PMP certification have propelled my learning and shaped my belief that technology’s true purpose is to connect people and ideas.
I’ve produced everything from pharma advisory boards and sales kick-offs to SaaS virtual events and hybrid user conferences. Yes, I can handle all the tech. But the value I bring goes far beyond ensuring the right gear shows up on-site. I add value by:
Growing client relationships from zero to $1M+ in annual revenue.
Maturing processes with project management tools and principles to increase collaboration and efficiency.
Servant-leading teams by empowering talent and putting others first.
I’ve worked with $2B+ enterprises and local nonprofits, managing budgets from non-existent to never-ending. But let’s be honest—anyone can build a flashy keynote stage. I want every event I touch to be better than the one before it.
On any team, I’m the point guard—setting everyone up to do their best work, on time, on budget, and on target.
Swish. 🏀
My experience
-
Decisions is a private equity-backed, low-code, business process automation SaaS company. I was the go-to person for making complex ideas click—literally and figuratively. I led event marketing efforts that turned abstract automation concepts into tangible experiences, like our flagship "Decisions Days" conference. I orchestrated over 60 projects a year, uniting marketing, sales, and training teams to build events that accelerated pipeline, deepened customer education, and drove $1M+ ARR. I also dove headfirst into learning the product—despite no coding background—so I could communicate its value clearly to technical buyers and help my team tell better stories.

2020-2021 – Logic Systems Sound & Lighting
When the live events industry went dark during the pandemic, I found a way to keep the show going. At Logic Systems, I brought over key accounts and led virtual production for multi-day conferences using tools like Zoom, SpotMe and OBS. I was a translator between technology and experience, helping clients pivot to digital formats without sacrificing impact. My focus on relationship-building paid off—we retained and grew accounts in the most uncertain of times. -
2013-2020 – Atema Partners/AP Live
At AP Live, a premier AV and event production partner, I spent eight years growing from project coordinator to project manager and ultimately leading new business development. I managed over 60 events annually—ranging from advisory boards to national sales meetings—for clients across healthcare, software, entertainment, and banking, generating more than $2M in revenue each year. I was the only PM to also lead account growth, securing 50+ clients and driving a 2,500% revenue increase with a 92% organic growth rate. I built long-term partnerships by delivering high-impact experiences—from $800K national sales meetings to intimate VIP incentives—on time and on budget. My leadership extended beyond execution: I introduced tools like Asana and Slack to improve collaboration, negotiated vendor contracts with 15% average savings, and mentored internal and external teams to uphold AP Live’s standards of excellence. I wasn’t there to deliver good events—I was there to raise the bar. -
2010-2013 – Freelance
I developed broad technical skills in audio, video, lighting, and staging as well as client management, and project management resulting in full-time position with AP Live. -
I’ve played guitar since I was 12 years old and in bands since 14. I’ve put out records, toured the midwest and the southeast, and can talk your ear off about gear.

“Chase was the backbone of our events world-wide. His experience showed through in every event our company put on — from local trainings and sales events to global programs. I knew that when I got to one of our locations, everything was setup, handled, and I was prepped and ready to go. The clients RAVED about our events — we closed deals because of them. ”

“We have worked with a lot of A/V providers over the years. However, the first time I worked with Chase I knew we had found someone awesome and wanted to work with him again. Three years later, Chase is our go-to guy for all our A/V needs whether domestic or international.”

Chase is an amazing project manager and has the skills to organize an ever moving portfolio of meetings and situations often on the turn of a dime. He is calm in high stress situations, and provides valuable suggestions to solve most problems. He is a pleasure to work with and would work with him again ANYTIME! He is serious asset to any team.
